Someone
may ask the question, what makes God’s Word settled? The answer is simple, GOD SAID IT! With God’s spoken Word he created the heavens
and the earth. With God’s spoken Word he
made man, and with His spoken word He has commanded
the heavens, earth and man to live according to His PRECEPTS! To live according
to God’s Precepts we must understand His Precepts and believe them. Believing the Word of God is agreeing with the
Word of God to the point that it becomes settled in your heart and is your way
of life! You become a doer of His Word without
giving it a thought!
I have been
reading, meditating on and praying to God according to His Word in Psalm
119. A
foundational truth in Psalm 119 is that the Word of God is
all-sufficient. Psalm 19:7-9 gives us further insight into the all sufficiency of God's Word.
Psalm 19:7-9
“The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving
the soul.
The statutes of the
LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the
LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the
LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the LORD
is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the
LORD are sure and altogether righteous.”
Psa 19:10
More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:
sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11
Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping
of them there is great reward.
Not only is the Word of God " All Sufficient", it is "Sufficient for All"! 2 Timothy 3:17-17 tells us The Word of God is sufficient to make us wise, train us in righteousness, and equip us for every good work.
What a "Settled Word" from God today! Be of good cheer as you DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD!!!
