Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1Jn 4:8 ........ for God is love.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:
God created us in His image and John tells us that God is.....LOVE. He blessed us and commanded us to be fruitful, multiply, replenish and subdue. Let's make this personal and view God's work and His commands as a directive for personal growth.
Now God has all authority and He exercises His authority with love and kindness. Yes, He rules and corrects but remember He is love and He has already blessed us. He desires that we, His created and blessed ones glorify Him and edify one another. Do you see yourself blessed, fruitful, multiplying, replenishing and subduing? Now if you're having a hard time seeing yourself as God has created you there is hope and help through repentance and transformation.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Paul is encouraging us! We do not have to remain the way we are. If we are not seeing ourselves blessed and fruitful that can change and it can began NOW! We can be transformed from our old way of thinking to the God way of thinking by the renewing of our minds! This is a daily transformation that requires God's love and our acceptance of His LOVE! You see, God's love covers and transforms. When we experience God's transforming love we no longer will allow the things of our pass (hurt, disappointments, being mistreated, unforgiveness, low self esteem, anger, shame etc.) to crowd our present and hinder our future. We will not follow the pattern of this world but we will challenge our minds/souls to be renewed daily. We will position ourselves for a total spiritual make-over, one of hope, joy, forgiveness, love, sound mind, peace, etc. Sound impossible? It's not! God has already sent Jesus to give us abundant life and the Holy Spirit is our helper.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Provision has been made for us to live within the love and blessings of God's promises. The Bible is our road map or toolbox that we must adhere to in obedience and hope of God fulfilling His every promise. Yes there will continue to be road blocks in our lives but never forget the promise of the Comforter our helper. The one Who will teach us and guide and remind us that we are in the image of God and that God is love, and so we are the "BELOVED OF GOD"!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for showing me in Your word that I am created in Your image (love). I am encouraged that I can be fruitful for You. Now that I know that I am blessed, I can began to live a blessed life. I will challenge my mind/soul daily to put off the past and receive the present promises of God that I may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. My future is now brighter because of Your love for me. In Jesus' name amen.
