What's Motivating You?

Does your motivation come from within or from without?  The stuff that it takes to get out of bed in the mornings or to prepare for the unknown of the day where does it come from?  When it's simply to hard to hold on where do you find the strength?  Does your strength come from what you can see or does it come from Who you know and the promises that He has made to you as a believer. Your motivation must come from the Lord.  He is your firm foundation that will never crumble.  He provides you with strength for a path that is perfect.  Be not dismayed just trust the promises of the Lord to not only jump start you but to take you to the finish line!

2Sa 22:32  For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock except our God?
2Sa 22:33  It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.
2Sa 22:34  He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.
2Sa 22:35  He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
2Sa 22:36  You give me your shield of victory; you stoop down to make me great.

Aren't you encouraged to get up and get going!  Sometimes it only takes someone to remind you of Whose you are and the promises that He has made you.  The Lord knows the plans that He has for you and you must know and trust Him.  Sometimes it's easy to forget His promises but you must remember what He has already done and be assured that He'll always be there performing His word in your life because He loves you!

Prayer:  Lord thank You for being the motivation that I need each day to face the unknown.  Thank You for arming me for spiritual battle with strength, feet like the feet of a deer, enabling me to stand on the heights, training my hands for battle, and for giving me Your shield of victory.  In Jesus' Name Amen.

Hope Anchors The Soul

There are times when we feel that we've missed the mark.  We aren't  quite where we should be and the road to where we're going is to dark and long.  These feelings are normal, but we must not allow these feelings to become thoughts and our thoughts become words and our words actions until we're on a merry-go-round and can't seem to get off.

There is HOPE!  there is that deep knowing inside (Holy Spirit) that we are to desire with expectation of obtainment and expect with confidence (trust) the promises of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  He is always as near to us as a gentle whisper or a loud shout!  Just the mention of His name can get His attention.  Scripture tells us that the Lord will never forget His own.

Isa 49:15  "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her
womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
Isa 49:16  See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually

                 before Me.

How awesome to know that your face is inscribed on the palms of God's hands!  That everyday you are in His thoughts!  Does that stir up hope on the inside?  When you put your hope (trust) in the Lord and be of good courage, He will strengthen your heart (Psa 31:24).  When your heart is strengthened it will rejoice in Him and the crooked paths will appear straight, the long road will become short and the darkness will be dispelled in His light!  No matter what you're facing, fill your heart with Hope in the Lord, anchor your soul in that hope and pay attention to the shift that He will create in your circumstances.......just for you!

Psa 33:22  Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
